We are delighted to have been invited to be part of the London Open Gardens Weekend 10th & 11th June 2023. We are opening 2 of our gardens and we would love you to join us.
Little Mix of a Garden, Kentish Town, open 10th June 11.30am – 4pm
Here you will see a suite of three accessible courtyard gardens in Camden’s first ever Centre for Independent Living (CIL). The Little Mix garden is the work of the Integrated Learning Disabilities gardening group supported by Green City Projects. The gardens are a mix of edibles, ornamentals and wildlife friendly planting including an experiment growing strawberries in a strawbale. We’re next to the O2 Forum on Highgate Road in the new cream brick building behind the church in Greenwood Place.
Refreshments will be available to purchase in the cafe.
St Paul’s Woodland Garden Project, Camden Square open 11th June 11.30am – 3.30pm
Here you will see a woodland-edge inspired garden within the grounds of St Paul’s Church at the top of Camden Square. This cool space under the canopies of London Plane trees, has been created by Green City Projects working with a number of groups made including people from St Pancras Hospital as well as the wider community. The Woodland Project uses gardens, gardening and related activities to work with people to address social isolation, mental health and climate change. The garden is supported by the Lottery. Together we are creating a haven for local flora and fauna as well as a food growing area for partial shade tolerant edible plants – chillies included!
Homemade refreshments will be available to purchase.
We look forward to seeing you there.
